Chosun Ilbo, Choongang Ilbo, Dong-A Ilbo and other conservative media are building up the wrong public opinion that private universities or colleges are to blame for the registration fee issue, the commentary said.

Irregularities and corruption rampant at those schools are ascribable to the Lee Myung Bak "government's" failure to do its duty and, accordingly, the registration fee issue has not yet been settled, it pointed out.

But conservative media are distorting the essence of the issue in an attempt to arrest the strong protest of the people against the Lee "government" which has not fulfilled its commitments to halve registration fee, it charged.

The commentary urged the conservative media to clearly see the mindset of the people toward the registration fee issue.
