The adoption of the June 15 joint declaration and the dynamic advance of the era of independent reunification are the brilliant fruition of Kim Jong Il's outstanding and tested leadership.

His grandiose plan and energetic leadership brought about a new event in which another north-south summit meeting took place in October 2007 and the October 4 declaration, a programme for implementing the historic June 15 joint declaration, was adopted.

However, the Korean people's struggle to achieve the country's reunification under the banner of the June 15 joint declaration and the October 4 declaration are facing serious difficulties at present.

The present south Korean ruling forces are getting frantic with the moves to escalate the confrontation in collusion with outside forces, while malignantly decrying the said declarations.

It is the urgent militant task of our nation at present to put an end to the south Korean conservative authorities' moves to escalate the confrontation.

All the Koreans in the north, the south and abroad should get united and launch a dynamic nation-wide general offensive to punish the Lee Myung Bak group for hamstringing the implementation of the said declarations and escalating the confrontation with compatriots.

The independent reunification, peace and prosperity are sure to be achieved as they are guided by the Songun politics of Kim Jong Il and powerful strength of the nation closely united under the banner of the said declarations.
