Reporters and speakers said at the meetings that after proclaiming the modeling of the whole society on the Juche idea as the supreme programme of our party, Kim Jong Il considered the transforming of the whole party on the Juche idea as a fundamental issue of party building and developed the WPK into the party of President Kim Il Sung.

They recalled that through his energetic ideological and theoretical activities and wise leadership Kim Jong Il developed the WPK into an ever-victorious iron-willed party and a true mother party imbued with the idea of Kim Il Sung and the membership of which is united close around him.

Noting that Kim Jong Il has developed the WPK into a guiding force of Songun revolution with Songun as an invincible treasured sword, they stressed that the army and the people of the DPRK have won one victory after another in the political and military confrontation with imperialism and made new successes in the revolution and construction.

A poem dedicated to the anniversary was recited at the meeting of members of the women's union.

Present there were Choe Ryong Hae, secretary of the C.C., the WPK, officials concerned, officials of the trade unions and the women's union and working people.
