The statement strongly denounced the south Korean authorities for recently mobilizing military hooligans to set up targets hurting the dignity of the leadership of the DPRK at drill grounds and fire at them. This hideous hysteric provocation was not only a treacherous and base act committed by those who are ignorant of elementary human ethics and morality but also a reckless provocative act of wrecking peace and stability in the Korean Peninsula and the region, it said, demanding the south Korean authorities make an immediate apology for this criminal act and severely punish all those responsible for this.

It urged the south Korean authorities to opt for improving the inter-Korean relations and stop at once all the anti-DPRK moves.
