Zhou Yongkang, member of the Standing Committee of the Political Bureau and secretary of the Central Commission for Political and Legal Affairs of the C.C., Communist Party of China, stressed the importance of this work at a meeting of the commission in Beijing on June 10.

He said that relevant laws should be revised to fit realities and judicial system improved under the direction of the central organ to ensure fresh and steady progress in this field.
