U.S. Projected Deployment of New Military Equipment Protested in Japan

| Pyongyang, June 19 (KCNA) -- A sit-in strike was staged in Kinowan City, Okinawa Prefecture, Japan on June 13 in protest against the projected provision of the U.S. forces in Japan with new military equipment. The strike was held outside the city office in protest against the U.S. forces' scheme to deploy MV-22 Osprey, new VTOL, at the Futenma base in Okinawa. Attending it were many citizens of various strata. They pressed for a cancellation of the plan, saying that the deployment of the VTOL should never be allowed for the safety of children. |
