At a national meeting in Beijing Liu Yunshan, head of Publicity Department of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of China (CPC), said promoting the tour of revolutionary sites is an important and strategic decision the CPC has made to inherit the excellent revolutionary traditions and consolidate its ruling foundation.

He underscored the need to make the party members and other officials to learn about the party history and nurture the party spirit through the tour of the revolutionary sites associated with the hard-fought struggle and scenic spots. It is also necessary to help broad masses nourish patriotism and school youth and children learn the revolutionary traditions through the tour, the official added.
