Kim Jong Il has applied the principle of giving definite priority to the ideological work in the whole period of leading the revolution and construction. The Brazil-Korea Friendship Association said this in an article with heading "Giving priority to ideological work" and subtitles "Putting main stress on ideology", "By establishing monolithic ideology" and "With might of ideology".

The Egypt-Korea Friendship Association in its bulletin "DPRK, single-minded unity and Kim Jong Il" praised him for having cemented the single-minded unity of the DPRK in every way since he started work at the WPK Central Committee, adding in the DPRK the leader, the party and the masses are rallied close as one.
