Peruvians Express Solidarity for Koreans
Pyongyang, June 22 (KCNA) -- Peruvian organizations expressed full support for the historic June 15 North-South Joint Declaration and the May 30 statement by a spokesman for the National Defence Commission (NDC) of the DPRK. The NDC statement declared the army and people of the DPRK will no longer deal with the Lee Myung Bak group of traitors of south Korea but launch a nationwide total offensive to put an end to its anti-DPRK confrontation moves.

The adoption of the June 15 North-South Joint Declaration brought about signal events in the Korean Peninsula such as the reconnection of railways severed between the two sides and exchanges and cooperation in various fields, said the Peruvian Preparatory Committee for Commemorating the Centenary of Birth of President Kim Il Sung in a statement on June 10.

The movement for Korea's reunification has faced grave difficulties and inter-Korean relations are deteriorating day by day after the pro-American Lee group took office in south Korea, the statement said.

Recounting on the NDC statement, the statement said they would join the world progressive people wishing for peace and stability on the Korean Peninsula in denouncing the south Korean authorities' war and confrontation moves. They also vowed to extend selfless support and encouragement to the Korean people in their efforts to reunify the country independently and peacefully, it added.

The Peruvian Committee for Supporting the Independent and Peaceful Reunification of Korea in a statement on the same day said the joint declaration is the landmark of Korea's reunification. It condemned the U.S. and the south Korean puppet forces for their intensified moves against the DPRK.
