Lemur Catta Has Three Kittens at Pyongyang Zoo

| Pyongyang, June 23 (KCNA) -- Some days ago a lemur catta brought forth three male kittens at the Central Zoo in Pyongyang. The lemur catta is a gift sent to President Kim Il Sung by a former Madagascan president scores of years ago. It is rare for lemur catta to have a litter of three kittens. The animal usually farrows one or two young at a birth. The kittens weighed only 70, 40 and 30 grams respectively when they were born, but now they are normal in weight. |
