Pyongyang, June 24 (KCNA) -- A British organization and the Korean Friendship Association headquartered in Spain posted special write-ups on their Internet homepages to mark the 47th anniversary of general secretary Kim Jong Il's start of work at the Central Committee of the Workers' Party of Korea and the 11th anniversary of the June 15 North-South Joint Declaration.

The British Association for the Study of Songun Policy on June 13 posted on its Internet homepage an article with a photo of Kim Jong Il.

Kim Jong Il is a great leader with extraordinary wisdom, traits and distinguished qualification recognized by the world, the article said under heading "Peerless political elder".

During the 47 year-long history of his leadership over the WPK he has strengthened it into the party of President Kim Il Sung both in name and reality and defended the dignity and sovereignty of the nation and opened the new era of building a thriving nation and achieving national reunification with his Songun revolutionary leadership, the article noted.

The historic inter-Korean summit and the adoption of the joint declaration 11 years ago were a great event that created a worldwide sensation, said the bulletin under another heading "Long live the June 15 era of independent reunification". The world called it "Kim Jong Il shock" and "historic event" at that time, it added.

The Korean Friendship Association headquartered in Spain on June 4 posted on its Internet homepage "One Corea Network" articles such as "June 15 story" with a portrait of Kim Jong Il.
