Pyongyang, June 24 (KCNA) -- It was confirmed that the U.S. troops have not used underground water inside their base in Waegwan for drinking, south Korean CBS reported on June 22, adding defoliant is believed to have been buried in the base. The commander of the U.S. 8th Army has so far asserted the U.S. troops in the military base in Waegwan drink underground water inside the base to prove that the water is not contaminated, it said. An expert organ, however, recently revealed the U.S. forces in the base pumped up water from the River Rakdong and filtered it before using it as drinking water, the report noted. It urged the U.S. forces to explain the reason why they stopped using the underground water in their base. |
