China Makes Efforts to Remove Aftermath of Flood Damage

| Beijing, June 23 (KCNA) -- The Chinese People's Armed Police Force in the southern area is conducting a positive drive to remove the aftermath of the flood damage. The police set in motion a total of 20,000 soldiers, 2,000 vehicles and more than 400 lifeboats up to June 21 for rescue operations. It evacuated at least 40,000 people, saved 48 drowning inhabitants and gave medical treatment to over 160, a report said. |
