Economic Stagnation in Japan and Italy

| Pyongyang, June 24 (KCNA) -- Japan's department store sales in May fell 2.4 percent from a year earlier on a same-store basis, the Japan Department Stores Association said on Jun 17. This is because economic depression made consumers reluctant to go shopping. Meanwhile, Italian industrial orders in April fell 6.4 percent from March, Italy's statistics agency Istat said on Monday. Industrial enterprises are in depression due to the reduction of orders, it noted. |
