DPRK Anniversaries Marked in Peru

Pyongyang, June 25 (KCNA) -- The Peruvian National Independent Movement for Free Voting's Union issued a bulletin on June 7. It was to mark the 47th anniversary of General Secretary Kim Jong Il's start of work at the Central Committee of the Workers' Party of Korea, the 11th anniversary of the June 15 North-South Joint Declaration and the June 25-July 27 month of anti-U.S. joint struggle.

The bulletin carried photos of President Kim Il Sung and Kim Jong Il and articles.

The article "The 47th anniversary of Kim Jong Il's start of work at C.C., the WPK" said he has consolidated the ideological unity of the WPK and developed it into a party that has taken its roots deep among the popular masses, being absolutely supported and trusted by them.

The army and people of the DPRK won the war started by the U.S. imperialists against Korea in 1950, said an article under heading "The great leader Comrade Kim Il Sung, outstanding strategist, led the Fatherland Liberation War to victory".

Another article "Korea's reunification" explained the contents of the June 15 joint declaration, saying no one can dampen the Korean people's desire for reunification.
