Kim Jong Il has strengthened the WPK into the party of Juche, the eternal party of the leader by successfully carrying forward the cause of building the Juche-type party started by President Kim Il Sung, the statement said.

Under the leadership of Kim Jong Il the WPK has maintained independence in all its activities, standing the ordeals and storms of history, it added.

The WPK has achieved the unbreakable unity and cohesion of its ranks based on the Juche idea and turned the whole society into a big harmonious whole, the statement noted, adding this is hard to find elsewhere in the world.

Warmly congratulating Kim Jong Il on the 47th anniversary of his start of work at the WPK Central Committee, the Branch said it is convinced the DPRK would dynamically advance toward bigger victory under the WPK's leadership.
