DPRK Anniversaries Celebrated in Guinea, Kuwait

Pyongyang, June 25 (KCNA) -- Friendly meetings, round-table talks and film shows took place in the DPRK missions in Guinea and Kuwait between June 15 and 17. They were to mark the 47th anniversary of General Secretary Kim Jong Il's start of work at the Central Committee of the Workers' Party of Korea, the 11th anniversary of the June 15 North-South Joint Declaration and his historic and successful China visit.

Participants included officials of the Guinean People's Assembly, the Kuwaiti preparatory committee for commemorating the centenary of birth of President Kim Il Sung and the Kuwait-DPRK Friendship Association and officials of the DPRK missions.

Speakers praised Kim Jong Il for his great feats in the effort to strengthen the WPK and achieve the country's reunification. They also admired the Korean people striving hard to build a thriving socialist nation, closely united around him.
