The organization said June 15 this year marks the 11th anniversary of the historic joint declaration, adding it opened a way to realize the desire of the Korean nation for independent reunification, peace and prosperity.

The statement continued:

The conservative authorities of south Korea, however, worked against the reunification in collusion with foreign forces. They scuttled the inter-Korean dialogues through military provocations against the DPRK and prevented the unity of the nation.

We are convinced that justice and peace would win a victory on the Korean Peninsula.

We call on the progressive people in the world to extend support and solidarity to the Korean people in their just struggle to achieve peace and reunification by implementing the June 15 North-South Joint Declaration and the October 4 declaration on the occasion of the month of international solidarity with the Korean people.

We support the DPRK in its efforts for peace and stability in Northeast Asia.
