Kim Jong Il developed the traditional DPRK-China friendship into a new higher stage through his recent visit to China, Kurbonzyon Mirzoyeva, secretary of the Sogd Regional Committee of the Party of Tajikistan, noted, adding: The cordial hospitality accorded to him by the Chinese party and state leaders served as a clear reminder of his high international prestige.

Kalevi Wahrman, chairman of the Finnish Communists' League, said the invincible might of the WPK, organizer and guide of all victories of the Korean people, would have been unthinkable without the wise leadership of Kim Jong Il. The Korean people will surely build a thriving country as they are led by him, the chairman added.

Guillermo Alcazar Ribera, chairman of the Peruvian Group for the Study of Kimilsungism, said the greatest leadership feat of Kim Jong Il was that he built the WPK into the eternal party of President Kim Il Sung.

Congratulatory messages to Kim Jong Il were adopted at the meeting and lecture held in Norway and Finland.
