A Russian paper on June 15 carried a photo of President Kim Il Sung and Kim Jong Il standing together. It also carried a photo of Kimjongilia and a commemorative article.

The article said celebrations were held in Russia on the significant anniversary to praise the party leadership exploits of Kim Jong Il. It introduced Kimjongilia, immortal flower, in detail.

The Syrian newspaper Al Baath on June 20 said as the leader for the people Kim Jong Il performed big exploits for the construction, development and prosperity of the country.

A Senegalese newspaper on June 18 said the DPRK is demonstrating its might as a country in which the party, the army and the people are united around the leader in single mind. The international community is convinced that the DPRK would emerge an economic power in the near future as it has laid a solid foundation for building a thriving nation, it added.

The June issue of the Indian magazine Social Look spoke highly of the greatness of Kim Jong Il who performed feats to shine long in the history of building the revolutionary party through his extraordinary ideological and theoretical activities and leadership.

An Ecuadorian TV showed the DPRK film "Fireworks for a Thriving Nation" on June 11 and 12.
