Recalling that the June 25 war took the lives of many people and turned the whole territory of the country into a sea of fire, the commentary said it taught a bitter lesson that peace is the only way out.

The present chief executive, oblivious of the above-said lesson, has pushed the inter-Korean relations to the brink of war in total refusal to implement the June 15 joint declaration, the declaration for independence, peace and reunification, though it has commanded absolute support from the fellow countrymen, the commentary noted, and went on:

The Lee Myung Bak regime and the gentries of the "Grand National Party" are openly crying out for a preemptive attack on the DPRK, a dangerous act of calling for a new war.

The people are demanding the replacement of the Lee regime at an early date in order to prevent the second June 25 war, it said, calling for waging a dynamic struggle to repair the inter-Korean relations and achieve peace on the Korean Peninsula in the future.
