Speakers at the conference accused the business side and power organs of preparing a wholesale crackdown upon the workers in sit-in strike.

There is no justification for them to crack down on the workers' struggle, they said, declaring the workers and all the forces of conscience would counter the authorities' suppression with solidarity actions.

They demanded the authorities cancel their repressive plan at once.
