Chinese Minister of Agriculture on World Food Security

| Pyongyang, July 1 (KCNA) -- The Chinese minister of Agriculture referred to the issue of ensuring world food security at a recent meeting of agricultural ministers of members nations of Group 20 held in Paris. He underscored the need to boost the food production capacities of the developing countries, take a serious note of the production of bio-fuel and stabilize the food prices by checking the interference of international speculative capital in food. He also stressed that it is important for the developed countries to take practical and effective measures to help those backward countries solve the food shortage. |
