Leader of Japan's SDP Blasts Japan-US Agreement

| Pyongyang, July 2 (KCNA) -- The leader of the Social-Democratic Party of Japan at a press conference on June 24 accused the Japanese and U.S governments of reaching an agreement on the plan for transfer of the U.S. Air Force Base in Futenma, Okinawa Prefecture to Henoko, Nago City in the same prefecture. The Japanese government's position on the transfer of the base within the prefecture runs diametrically counter to public opinion, he charged. He urged the government to stand on the side of the inhabitants of the prefecture. |
