Some days ago, an official of the Japanese government claimed that a Chinese ship for scientific research conducted a maritime survey in the exclusive economic waters of Japan without its permission. The spokesperson vehemently refuted this story.

The ship made no survey while sailing to the open sea via the economic waters of Japan in order to survey maritime environment, the spokesperson stressed.
