Trans-Sea Bridge and Sea-bed Tunnel Open to Traffic in China

| Beijing, July 3 (KCNA) -- The sea-crossing Jiaozhou Wan Large Bridge and the sea-bed Jiaozhou Wan Tunnel opened to traffic in Qingdao, Shandong Province, China on June 30. The bridge is 36.48 km, the longest in the world and the tunnel 9.47 km, the longest in China, a report said. The project for the bridge started in May 2007. It took about four years to complete the tunnel. |
