S. Korean Authorities' Fascist Action against Rev. Han Sang Ryol under Fire
Pyongyang, July 4 (KCNA) -- Shortly ago, the south Korean fascist elements sentenced Rev. Han Sang Ryol to three-years in jail and the same term of suspension of qualification at a trial staged by the Seoul High Court of south Korea again.

The court took this action against him after accusing him of fully supporting and praising the DPRK's Songun politics, charging that what he did was "a real danger which might substantially affect" the existence and security" of south Korea.

Rodong Sinmun Monday observes in a bylined commentary in this regard:

This action was a serious human rights abuse as it was a wanton infringement upon human freedom, rights and conscience and a brutal fascist action taken by traitors against pro-reunification patriotic forces.

Rev. Han dedicated himself to the cause of national reunification. This, therefore, can never be incriminated as it should be praised by the whole nation as a patriotic deed.

The group of Lee Myung Bak has brought to total collapse the inter-Korean relations which had developed favorably, and made the dark clouds of a nuclear war hang over this land, while remaining extremely hostile to fellow countrymen. The court should have judged this group, first of all.

Had this group not pushed the inter-Korean relations to such serious catastrophe, opposed to the June 15 joint declaration and the October 4 declaration, Rev. Han would not have made such trip even risking his life.

The above-said court decision is not suppression of a single man but a challenge to the DPRK and all Koreans struggling for national reunification, the commentary notes, demanding the south Korean puppet authorities to immediately retract the punishment and set him free unconditionally.
