He made this call while visiting the exhibition of agricultural policies, adopted since the birth of the Communist Party of China, at the Agricultural Exhibition Hall in Beijing.

For the past 90 years since its foundation the CPC has attached big importance to agriculture, farms and farmers and made efforts to solve them, thereby successfully paving the way for victory of the neo-democratic revolution and development of the socialist cause.

He stressed the need to maintain the party's basic agricultural policy to win a fresh victory in building a comprehensively well-off society and provide a sure guarantee for stepping up the cause of socialism with the Chinese characteristics.
