CPPCC Meeting Held to Honor Organizations and Individuals

Beijing, July 5 (KCNA) -- The National Committee of the Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference held a meeting in Beijing on June 29 to honor outstanding grassroots party organizations and individuals from people's political consultative departments nationwide.

The meeting also served to commemorate the 90th anniversary of the founding of the Communist Party of China.

Its Chairman Jia Qinglin at the meeting called upon all the people to intensify the drive to build vanguard grassroots party organizations and become good party members with this meeting as a fresh starting point. Thus they should contribute to hitting the goals of the 12th Five-Year Plan and building a comprehensively well-off society, he added.

Five grassroots party organizations and 60 individuals were honored at the meeting.
