S. Korean Authorities Hit for Suppressing Teachers Union
Pyongyang, July 7 (KCNA) -- Members of the south Korean Democratic Labor Party on July 4 entered a hunger sit-in strike outside Chongwadae in protest against the prosecution's unreasonable investigation into the Teachers Union.

Prior to the sit-in strike, the party held a press conference in Jongro District, Seoul.

Speakers at the press conference denounced the Lee Myung Bak regime for letting the prosecution crack down on members of the union by linking them with the party.

This is aimed to disorganize the progressive opposition party and organizations it deems obstructive to the regime and calm down the public criticism of the "government" and the ruling party for varieties of scandals, they charged.

They declared they would positively cooperate with members of the union in the actions.
