Area of Kumsusan Memorial Palace Gets Thickly Wooded
Pyongyang, July 7 (KCNA) -- The area of the Kumsusan Memorial Palace, where President Kim Il Sung lies in state, has become thickly wooded to suit the sacred temple of Juche.

From the beginning of the year, more than 70,000 saplings of box, 10,000 plants of azalea and royal azalea and many other plants and flowers were transplanted around the palace.

Trees of good species, including gingko and dawn redwood, and rare plants are growing in the arboretum of the palace, adding beauty to the area.

According to data available, hundreds of thousands of trees of several hundred species have rooted around the palace over the past 16 years.
