The Intelligence Service and the police on July 6 carried out a search operation against the houses of An Jae Gu, former professor at Kyongbuk National University, and his son, the statement recalled.

It condemned the authorities for cracking down on their legitimate reunification movement after the publication of the June 15 joint declaration by labeling it as illegal.

The repressive campaign kicked off by the group of traitors is aimed at bringing to naught at any cost the vitality of the joint declaration and achievements made by it, the statement charged.

It called upon all the people to turn out in the actions for foiling the fascist suppression and putting an end to the dictatorship by concerted efforts.
