Kim Il Sung Remembered Abroad

Pyongyang, July 13 (KCNA) -- Events took place in different countries between July 4 and 7 to commemorate the 17th anniversary of demise of President Kim Il Sung. They included remembrance meetings, book and photo exhibitions and film shows in Cambodia, Nepal, Iran, Thailand, Bangladesh, India, Romania, UK, Ukraine, Sweden and Malaysia. Displayed at the exhibition halls were works of the President and General Secretary Kim Jong Il and books and photos showing their feats and the DPRK. Films shown included "Fireworks for a Thriving Nation" and "Arms of Korea". Kim Il Sung is the greatest man, the deputy prime minister for the Royal Palace of Cambodia said, adding: We heartily wish the Korean people signal successes in the drive to implement the behests of the President under the leadership of Kim Jong Il. The general secretary of the C.C., Nepal Communist Party (Marxist-Leninist) said the President is always alive in the hearts of the progressive mankind for his enormous feats. The chairman of the Organization for the Study of the Juche Idea of Thailand praised the President as a prominent great man who performed undying feats for the Korean revolution and the human cause of independence. He is the great father of the Korean people and outstanding statesman as he devoted all his life to the people's freedom and happiness, Korea's reunification and the victory of the socialist cause in the whole world, said the chairman of the Supreme Council of the Socialist Party of Romania. His undying feats are a precious asset that helps the Korean people and the progressive mankind steadfastly advance along the road of independence, the chief of the Swedish Group for the Study of the Juche Idea said. A message to Kim Jong Il was adopted at the event in Nepal. |
