It was thanks to the Juche idea founded by the President that the Korean people could become masters of the history, their own destiny and the revolution and construction and build a prosperous socialist power in Korea, the statement said. They could also thoroughly apply the principles of independence in politics, self-support in the economy and self-reliance in defense in socialist construction and lay solid foundations for reunifying the country independently.

The revolutionary history of the President is being given a steady continuity and his cause creditably carried to completion by General Secretary Kim Jong Il, it said, adding: He remains absolutely faithful to the President's revolutionary cause, taking hold on the Juche idea as the eternal guiding idea of the Workers' Party of Korea.

The President is always alive in the hearts of mankind and the Korean revolution will as ever emerge victorious under the leadership of Kim Jong Il, the statement stressed.
