The bilateral friendship is a common treasure provided by the revolutionaries of the elder generation of the two countries, Chen said, adding the governments and peoples of the two countries value this friendship and make positive efforts for its development.

In May this year General Secretary Kim Jong Il visited China and met General Secretary Hu Jintao, spurring the development of the relations between the two parties and the two countries, he noted.

He wished the fraternal Korean people bigger successes in their efforts to carry out socialist construction and defend peace on the Korean Peninsula in the spirit of self-reliance and fortitude under the leadership of the Workers' Party of Korea led by Kim Jong Il.

He expressed conviction that the bilateral relations of friendship and cooperation would dynamically grow stronger and the brisk exchanges and cooperation be made between friendship organizations under the deep care of the top leaders of the two countries.
