Anniversary of Demise of Kim Il Sung Commemorated

Pyongyang, July 15 (KCNA) -- Various events were held in many countries on the 17th anniversary of the demise of President Kim Il Sung from July 2 to 8. They included week of visits to Kimilsungia greenhouse in Guinea, seminars on Kim Il Sung's exploits in Italy and Bangladesh, briefing on his greatness in Indonesia, reading session in Uganda and remembrance meetings in Russia, Laos, Bangladesh and Bulgaria.

A department director of the Ministry of Mining Industry of Guinea hoped that the President would always live in the hearts of the Africans thanks to widespread dissemination of immortal flower Kimilsungia across the African continent including Guinea.

The general secretary of the Central Committee of the Unified Communist Party of Italy and the chief of Firenze Group of the Committee for the Study of the Juche idea said the President has been boundlessly revered by progressive mankind for the immortal exploits performed for the Korean revolution and the world revolution.

The chairman of the Bangladesh Institute of the Juche Idea said the founding of the Juche idea marked a historical event which brought about a radical turn in the development of human thoughts and the struggle to carve out the destiny of the popular masses. Progressive mankind will always remember the exploits performed by the President for the cause of independence against imperialism, he added.
