Russia's Central Election Committee Rejects Use of Foreign Contributions

Moscow, July 14 (KCNA) -- The chairman of the Russian Central Election Committee, in a recent interview with a TV broadcasting service, asked the political parties of the country not to use foreign contributions for the election fund during the parliamentary election campaign.

Any use of funds from foreign individuals and organizations for electioneering expenditure is prohibited by the law, he said, adding that any party should return such funds immediately or any party which has already used up such funds should be excluded from the election.
