It is equipped with modern facilities capable of producing latest sound facilities and various other types of electronic goods.

Its predecessor was the research group for the development of microphones which was established late in the 1980s under the deep care of leader Kim Jong Il.

New-type microphones produced by it were widely used at May Day Stadium and other theatres, cinema houses and cultural establishments during the period of the 13th World Youth and Students Festival.

It was against this backdrop that the company was established on July 10 in 1991.

A sincere contribution was made by Kim Kyu Sang, Korean resident in Japan, who is adviser to the Federation of Koreans in Commerce in Okayama Prefecture under the General Association of Korean Residents in Japan.

Kim Jong Il highly praised him for his patriotic deed and saw to it that he was appointed as honorary manager of the company and a monument to his loyalty erected.

Very popular are his products such as tens of thousands of microphones, megaphones, speakers, karaokes and fire warning instruments.

Microphones, in particular, won gold medals at different exhibitions including the 22nd Geneva International Exhibition of Invention and New Technology and evoked lively response at exhibitions held in China and Japan.

On July 12, the company marked its 20th anniversary with a meeting and other events.
