Hu Jintao on Developing Military Education

Beijing, July 15 (KCNA) -- Hu Jintao, chairman of the Central Military Commission of China, stressed the need to develop the education at military academies. He said this in his speech to the delegates at the 16th national meeting of military academies held at the Great Hall of the People on July 12.

The military academies are playing an important role in modernizing the army as they are organs to train talented military personnel, he noted.

He urged the military academies to place the ideological and political construction before anything else and train many military personnel of a new type with high qualification and thus provide excellent talents who can contribute to creditably discharging the historic mission of the Chinese army on a new stage in the new century.
