This is another dangerous military provocation aimed at a surprise preemptive attack on the DPRK, Rodong Sinmun Sunday says in a bylined commentary.

It goes on:

It is not secret that the areas around five islands in the West Sea turned into bases of the south Korean army from which to launch the armed provocation to invade the DPRK.

The army is frequently waging madcap war exercises in the areas after massively bolstering up the offensive armed forces, thus fortifying the islands and turning them into advance bases.

It is giving spurs to strengthening the drills and its operation commanding system and beefing up forces and armed equipment while putting forward the Marine Corps as a shock brigade in launching a war against the north. The recent combined exercise of the Marine Corps proves that its adventurous scenario for a preemptive attack on the north is becoming a reality.

If it persists in the moves for military provocations and war in the areas around the five islands in the West Sea, the areas will turn into the crematory of south Korean and U.S. warmongers.

The Lee Myung Bak group should behave itself, mindful that military confrontation would bring it shameful defeat and death.
