Syrian PM Stresses Need to Develop Syria-DPRK Ties

| Pyongyang, July 17 (KCNA) -- Adel Shaffar, prime minister of Syria, met with the DPRK government economic delegation headed by Minister of Foreign Trade Ri Ryong Nam and had a friendly talk with it on July 14. It attended the 7th meeting of the DPRK-Syria Joint Economic Committee which was under way in Damascus. The Syrian prime minister said Syria set store by the traditional relations with the DPRK. He expressed the expectation that the bilateral ties would further develop through the meeting of the joint committee. He hoped that the party, government and people of the DPRK would make bigger progress and prosperity under the wise guidance of Kim Jong Il. |
