Speakers at the conference blasted the authorities for cracking down on ten odd workers and citizens involved in the reunification movement on the strength of the NSL on charges that they conducted activities after organizing a spy ring called "Iljin Association".

We cannot repress resentment at the authorities' recent action as it is a conspiratorial case to put down the people's actions, they said, adding: The authorities are seriously mistaken if they think they can tide over the ruling crisis by invoking the NSL.

They demanded the authorities stop the indiscriminate investigation and acts of cooking up cases and repeal the NSL at once.

We will fight it out, they declared, saying they could never remain an onlooker to the reality in which innocent people are labeled criminals.
