The Russian newspaper Nakhodkinski Rabochi on July 5 carried an article under the title of "Popular Leader" with a photo of the President and General Secretary Kim Jong Il.

Kim Il Sung, father of socialist Korea, was a popular leader, the article said, adding:

To believe in people as in Heaven was the maxim of the President.

He founded the Juche idea in the early period of his revolutionary activities and laid down the Juche-oriented line of the Korean revolution.

All miraculous achievements made in the DPRK were possible because the President mobilized the inexhaustible strength of the people to the maximum, strictly guided by the idea of believing in people as in Heaven.

Another Russian newspaper Selskaya Zhizn on the same day carried an article introducing the revolutionary life of the President who devoted his all to the people's happiness.

The July 4th issue of the Syrian paper Al Usubuu Al Riadih and the July issue of the Palestinian magazine Ilal Amam carried articles with portraits of the smiling President.

The articles noted that he set forth the idea of global independence and wisely led the struggle of progressive mankind against the imperialist and hegemonic forces through his energetic activities.
