Japanese Reactionaries' Moves for Military Overseas Expansion Flayed

Pyongyang, July 19 (KCNA) -- The Japanese government at recent round-table talks published a report the keynote of which is to examine the issue of SDF's participation in the performance of the main duty of "UN peace-keeping forces" including armistice supervision. Rodong Sinmun Tuesday says in a bylined commentary in this regard: This is no more than the Japanese reactionaries' scenario to legally hurl SDF into overseas military expansion under the disguise of the "UN peace-keeping forces." It is ridiculous for Japan to claim it would make "a contribution" to global peace and security while presenting itself as "a pacifist state." The international community has never asked Japan to dispatch its SDF as part of "UN peace-keeping forces". The world public is displeased and cautious about Japan's attempt to have a role in them as it is seized with the militarist ambition. The Japanese reactionaries have stepped up the preparations for SDF's overseas operations by craftily taking advantage of the changed international situation. They are now set to realize their ambition at any cost. Japan is so emboldened by its moves to regain its appearance in the "imperial era" under the pretext of "contributing to global peace" that it is set to openly dispatch SDF into different countries and regions of the world in a bid to demonstrate its military muscle. It is beyond doubt that in case Japan's militarist forces are allowed to participate in the military operations of the "UN peace-keeping forces" in a bid to repeat their crime-woven past, global peace and security will be threatened and the international community disturbed. The Japanese reactionaries would be well advised to behave themselves, mindful that the international community is watching with great worry and caution their undisguised moves to turn Japan into a military power and launch overseas expansion. |
