China Seeks Higher Global Innovation Ranking

Beijing, July 18 (KCNA) -- China will raise its global innovation ranking over the next five years, according to a newly issued national scientific and technological blueprint of the 12th five-year plan. The blueprint, issued by the Ministry of Science and Technology on July 13, contains the country's scientific and technological development goals for the coming five years. It specifies that China's global innovation ranking will be raised from 21st to 18th in the world. It also envisages that China will hold 55 percent of progress made in science and technology. |
