The voters' meetings held across the country nominated as candidates for deputies to local people's assemblies those officials, workers, farmers and intellectuals who can creditably discharge their duties as representatives of the people and servants of the people in the drive to build a socialist thriving country under the Songun revolutionary leadership of the Workers' Party of Korea, remaining intensely loyal to General Secretary Kim Jong Il.

The election committees at all levels have put up names and photos of candidates for the deputies at constituencies and sub-constituencies and are pushing forward the preparations for the successful election at the final stage.
