At the events speakers praised his undying feats for the Korean revolution and the accomplishment of the human cause of independence.

He founded the immortal Juche idea, led the two revolutionary wars and two-stage social revolutions to victory and built a powerful socialist nation, independent in politics, self-supporting in economy and self-reliant in national defence in Korea, they noted.

He clearly indicated the way of the Korean revolution with his energetic ideological and theoretical activities, built socialism centred on the popular masses in Korea and made great contributions to global independence, they said.

Under the leadership of Kim Jong Il who is successfully carrying forward the idea and cause of the President the DPRK is invariably winning victory after victory despite the imperialists' vicious blockade, they added.
