His daughter Senator Isabel Allende told a press conference on Tuesday that an examination of her father's remains confirmed that he killed himself, not murdered by the enemy, during the military coup in September 1973.

When the military attacked the presidential palace with the backing of the U.S. imperialists to keep Chile from taking the road of independence and socialism, Salvador Allende fought the enemy at the risk of his life with an automatic rifle in his hand, remaining faithful to the revolutionary principles to the last moment of his life.

His doctor also confirmed that the ex-president killed himself, not surrendering to the enemy.

In the last moment, he reportedly said, "Allende will never surrender".

He has still remained in the memory of the Korean and other progressive people all over the world as hero of the Chilean people and the world working class. His end reminds people of the heroic struggle for defending the Commune of Paris.

The scientific proof concerning his end puts a period to the unreasonable assertion about his death.
