Chinese Official Calls for Upholding CPC Leadership over Prosecution

| Beijing, July 21 (KCNA) -- Zhou Yongkang, secretary of the Central Commission of Politics of China, on July 16 called on prosecution agencies to uphold the leadership of the Communist Party of China (CPC). He made the call in a letter to the 13th National Procuratorial Work Meeting held in Yinchuan, capital of northwest China's Ningxia Hui Autonomous Region. Zhou said that prosecution agencies nationwide should safeguard people's lawful rights and interests, steadfastly pursue socialism with Chinese characteristics, and maintain and develop the socialist prosecution system of the Chinese style. |
