Japan Seeks Expanded Military Ties with US

| Pyongyang, July 22 (KCNA) -- Japan is seeking to expand military ties with the U.S. in the hope of realizing its ambition for reinvasion with the backing of the U.S. As part of the attempt, Japan had a U.S. marine officer assigned to the Asaka base of the Ground Self-defense Force (GSDF) of Japan on Wednesday, for the first time. The U.S. officer will be permanently stationed at a research centre of the GSDF to take a mission of information exchange concerning security, said a news report. |
